Experienced Business Development Executive

An exciting opportunity to work with a well-established environmental testing laboratory in East Sussex, providing contamination data reports on soil, water and leachates to clients in Construction and Brown Field Development.

The position would suit a dynamic individual with a proven track record for delivering high volumes of testing and creating effective personal relationships with clients in the Construction and Property Development Industry. Familiarity with Site investigation and Site remediation work within the construction industry is a requirement, as is a confident knowledge of the suite of contamination tests normally required for meeting environmental concerns on brown field developments. The successful candidate should also provide insight into new markets for analytical testing services.

Candidates must be authorised to live and work in the UK, have a full clean UK driving license and live within commuting distance of our Hastings Laboratory. Consideration will be given to candidates working from home if they can demonstrate the relevant experieince for this role.

Customer Services: Technical Officer

Reporting to the Operations Manager this key role provides technical advice to clients on the analysis of contaminated soil, waters and leachates. They will support our Sales team with processing quote requests, primarily from the brown field construction industry and work closely with our external LIMS supplier to integrate our analytical instruments data into clients reports.

The role would suit a chemistry graduate with 5+ years’ experience of working in a busy environmental contract laboratory. The successful candidate will be experienced in handling communications from Site Investigation and Site Remediation companies and in providing technical solutions to their site sampling challenges. They will have excellent IT and communication skills, and be capable of discussing technical issues with all levels of staff and clients.
